Mother's Day

Considering the Mother's Day as a feast and confining the task of showing dutifulness to mothers to that specific day, giving implication that throughout the whole year, just only one day is for showing love to Mom.
But for me the Mother Day should not be confined to that day only. For me the essential things to do is how to make the whole year a Mother's Day. Celebrating the Mother Day for me just like as an apology rather than a celebration or a party, apology from her daughter to my mom as to: I have always ignored her and i'm trying to compensate for it.
Thus, we may take the Mother's Day as a chance to lay more emphasis on our duty towards our mothers.
As Islam enjoins us, because dutifulness to parents is a genuine Islamic teaching.
Surah Al Ahqaf : 15
" And We have enjoined on man to be dutiful and kind to his parents. His mother bears him with hardship. And she brings him forth with hardship, and she bearing of him and the weaning of him is thirty months, till when he attains full strength and reaches forty years. he says My Lord Grant me the power and ability that I may be grateful for Your Favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents, and that I may do righteous good deeds such as please You and make my offspring good. Truly I have turned to You in repentance, and truly I am one of the Muslims (submitting to Your Will)."

You see in her whole life :

* She demonstrates her love and affection for her children
* She does not pray against her children
* She understands her great responsibility towards her children
* She uses the best methods in bringing them up
* She treats her sons and daughters equally
* She is alert to everything that may have an influence on them
* She instils good behavior and attitudes in them

this is a poem to honor our mothers

Only One Mother
Hundreds of stars in the pretty sky,
Hundreds of shells on the shore together,
Hundreds of birds that go singing by,
Hundreds of lambs in the sunny weather.
Hundreds of dewdrops to greet the dawn,
Hundreds of bees in the purple clover,
Hundreds of butterflies on the lawn,
But only one mother the world wide over.

I Love You Mom
